For a long time, the only option available for straightening teeth was to do so conspicuously with a mouth full of metal. Now, there is another option available with clear aligners. These are custom-made shells that worn over the teeth. They apply pressure in strategic areas, gradually moving the teeth to their new position. Because of the materials that they are made of, the aligners are clear and therefore almost undetectable. Also, unlike metal or ceramic braces, they are removable, allowing the patient to take them out to eat and clean their teeth easily.

For the Invisalign procedure, impressions will be taken of the patient’s teeth and a treatment plan created. The aligners will be created according to these impressions, each one slightly different as they gradually move the teeth to their new position according to the treatment plan. The patient must wear the aligners for at least 22 hours a day for the treatment to work – otherwise, the bone supporting the teeth will not get reshaped and the teeth will not stay in their new position.

What Is Invisalign® Treatment?

Invisalign uses clear plastic aligners instead of metal and wires found in traditional braces. These aligners provide a more comfortable treatment experience compared to conventional braces.

Who Is Invisalign® Treatment For?

Invisalign must be worn at least 20 to 22 hours per day. As such, Invisalign is better suited for teen and adult patients.

What Is the Invisalign® Treatment Process?

We begin by creating a custom map of your mouth and teeth. This is then sent to a technician who, along with your orthodontist, creates several sets of your custom clear aligners. You wear these aligners for two weeks at a time. By the time you have finished with your last set, you can enjoy your straighter, healthier teeth.

How Much Is Invisalign® Treatment?

Since all patients’ needs are different, your provider will be able to give you an accurate cost following your initial consultation.

Why Should I Choose Invisalign®?

Unlike metal braces, Invisalign is clear and invisible to the naked eye. As such, you can feel more confident wearing your braces.

Can I Get Invisalign® if I’ve Already Had Braces?

Absolutely! Many patients have chosen Invisalign after having prior dental work with traditional braces. During your consultation, we will help you better determine if Invisalign is right for you.

How Will Invisalign® Affect My Life?

Since Invisalign’s clear aligners are removable, you will have greater freedom in the teeth straightening process. If you need to take them out to eat, for example, you have the freedom to do so. You can’t do this with conventional braces!

What Happens After Invisalign® Treatment?

Just like with other braces types, you will be fitted with a custom retainer that you will need to wear to ensure that your teeth remain straight and healthy following treatment.

What Can Invisalign® Fix?

Invisalign is ideal for treating the following dental concerns:

  • Crooked/Misaligned teeth
  • Spaces between teeth
  • Excessive overjet
  • Crowded teeth
  • Bite issues
